Our Mission

The primary mandate of the Rovers Ground Search and Rescue is to provide auxiliary support to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) for Ground Search and Rescue operations and other Emergency Situations.

The Rovers work closely with many organizations, agencies and departments including:

  • Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
  • Canadian Coast Guard (CCG)
  • Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (CCGA)
  • St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD)
  • Fire and Emergency Services (FES-NL)
  • Justice and Public Safety
  • Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) and other Air Support
